The Indiana football program is set to face Tennessee in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl as both teams look to have huge games out of its playmakers.

As Indiana football prepares for its final outing of the 2019 season, Tennessee awaits as the opponent. If you told both opposing fan bases that they would be playing in a bowl game after New Years Day, I think both programs would take it and run.

Now, after somewhat of a disappointing finish to the season for Indiana, losing two of its final three games, and a slow start for the Volunteers, starting just 2-5, both programs are looking to end the year on a high note.

Indiana comes into Thursday with its first bowl victory since 1991 in mind, and only fourth bowl appearance since 2000.

It has not only been a historic season for the Hoosiers, but led to a massive extension for Tom Allen, but also losing offensive coordinator Kalen DeBoer as he will become the next head coach for Fresno State.

The Hoosiers will have their hands full with the Vols as they are currently on a five-game winning streak, outscoring their opponents by an average of 14 points per game in that span.
