4. 2014-2015 Team

Led by junior Yogi Ferrell (16.3 ppg, 4.9 apg), freshman James Blackmon Jr (15.7 ppg), and sophomore Troy Williams (13 ppg, 7.4 rpg), the 2014-2015 team was well-balanced and had pretty good success.

The big three were supported by some solid role players, such as marksmen Nick Zeisloft and Collin Hartman, as well as big man Hanner Mosquera-Perea.

This group was an elite scoring team, particularly from behind the three-point line. They were ninth in the nation in threes made, sixth in three-point percentage, and 18th in points per game. Like many Tom Crean teams, they were fun to watch on offense, but struggled on defense.

The Hoosiers finished the season 20-14, going 9-9 in Big Ten play. They were briefly ranked in the low 20s for two weeks in January, but spent most of the season outside the top 25. They drew a tough matchup as a 10 seed in the NCAA Tournament, playing a talented but mostly untested Wichita State team. Wichita State defeated Indiana 81-76 and eventually lost in the Sweet 16.

While this team may not blow you away on paper, they made the NCAA Tournament and played decent basketball all year. Troy Williams had a year that is underappreciated by many fans and Yogi Ferrell excelled as the sole leader on the roster.
