Indiana Basketball vs Notre Dame: 3 matchups to watch

2. Devonte Green vs TJ Gibbs

The second individual matchup that should play a major factor in deciding the outcome of this game is Indiana’s Devonte Green versus the Irish’s Temple Gibbs.

Both senior guards enter this game with a ton of experience, and are known for their ability to be difference makers on both ends of the floor.

Green is shooting 42 percent from three, while Gibbs is shooting 39 percent. Both players average 12.5 points per game and add in a few assists per game as well.

While both players have been hot and cold at times this season, they are trending in different directions.

After averaging just 8.6 points in the teams first eight games, Gibbs has been on fire in the past three with an 18.3 point per game average. Green on the other hand was averaging 15.8 points through the first five games, but is at just 7.0 points per game in the last three.

The similarities are glaring between the two players. Whichever playmaker is able to get the better of the other could very well be the difference in this game, leading their respective team to a win.
