With national signing day on Wednesday, the Indiana football program is waiting to hear the verdict for one of its top targets in the 2020 class.

Despite the Indiana football program in the middle of preparing for its bowl game against Tennessee, there has still been a lot of activity on the recruiting trail for the staff over the past few weeks.

Trying to put in as much work as possible leading up to national signing day on Wednesday, the Indiana staff has made sure to prioritize a few prospects in order to cap off the 2020 class in style.

One of those prospect is four-star wideout Alante Brown. Ranked the No. 215 player in the 2019 class, Brown decided to take a prep year at St. Thomas More (CT) after being originally committed to both Texas Tech and Michigan State.

Now, Brown has a big decision to make, with his announcement coming on Wednesday night. With a final group of Indiana, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Michigan State, and Maryland, Brown talked to Allen Trieu of 247Sports to break down his finalists.

Of Indiana, Brown loved the relationships he was able to form with some of the coaching staff, making him very comfortable in Bloomington.

"“Indiana touched based with me at the end of my senior year and we started to build a real strong relationship from there, me, Coach Hart, Coach Heard and Coach Allen. They have recruited me hard. It’s three hours away from the crib. Coach Hart and Coach Allen are great guys and Coach Heard has a strong history of coaching wide receivers and sending them to the league. They help their players in school and also after school, they have a program to help them after they’re out of school.”"

With Indiana losing both Nick Westbrook and Donavan Hale to graduation after this season, there is still a hole in the roster at wideout. Despite having another top wideout in Rashawn Williams committed in the 2020 class, as shown by this past year Indiana and Kalen DeBoer can never have enough options on the offensive side of the ball.

Brown, who is now the No. 1 prep player in the country, is just 5-foot-10, so while not known for his size, something Indiana has a lot of on its roster, he is known for his playmaking ability and speed.

Brown’s announcement will come at 8 pm on Wednesday night at Pullman Center near his hometown in Chicago.

Indiana’s 2020 class is currently ranked No. 50 in the country with 17 commits.
