The Indiana basketball program got pounded on the road against Wisconsin, for its first loss of the season, to open up Big Ten play.

It was the first road game of the season for Indiana basketball and the Hoosiers failed to put together a competitive effort as they fell to the Wisconsin Badgers 84-64 to open up Big Ten play.

With the game being over after the first five minutes of the game, the Hoosiers never really kept it close and were behind by 20+ points for most of the afternoon.

After an 8-0 start, and a terrific performance on Tuesday against Florida State, it was a major step back on Saturday as Big Ten play started, and another loss in Madison occurred.

Coming into the game, Wisconsin was shooting just 41 percent from the field and 30 percent from three, but found its shooting touch against Indiana. Going 8-of-20 from three, including 6-of-13 to start the game, the Badgers finished shooting 53 percent from the field, the highest output of the season.

The Hoosiers showed very little effort and energy all night long until about six minutes left in the game, when they went on a 10-0 run to cut into the 30-point lead. Al Durham, who was averaging just 8.5 points over his last four games, including shooting just 2-of-11 from three, found a bit of a rhythm as he led Indiana with 17 points on 3-of-4 from deep.

Kobe King led Wisconsin with a career-high 25 points on 10-of-15 from the field, as Nate Reuvers added 20 points for the Badgers as well.

Turnovers had been a major issue for Indiana over the past three games, and though the Hoosiers only coughed up the ball 12 times, they only forced four from Wisconsin, and were outscored 18-6 on turnovers.
