3. New Era Pinstripe Bowl – New York

December 27 vs ACC opponent

The New Era Pinstripe Bowl is held at Yankee Stadium and for that, it would be a cool bowl to go to. But besides that, it is not a bowl that most teams would really want to go. Look New York is great and playing where the Yankees play is great, but it is also the end of December and it is cold. Also, Indiana was there in 2015, so it would be nice to go elsewhere.

Just like the reasons behind not wanting to go to Detroit would be the same reason to not want to go to New York. While the game would be warmer because it is inside, going to New York is more appealing than Detroit. Plus the Hoosiers get to travel outside the region to play the bowl game. Playing in Detroit is almost like staying in Indiana and again playing in a bowl should be about traveling away and getting a new experience.

This bowl is almost identical to the Quick Lane Bowl besides location. The Hoosiers would play an ACC opponent and again it would most likely be North Carolina and Pitt. We already explained some benefits to playing North Carolina but what about Pitt?

The best thing about playing Pitt is the Hoosier fans would get to see their awesome football uniforms. It would be even better if they wore their blue tops. Look Pitt is not a great team, they lost to Miami (who lost to FIU) and Boston College who is equally not good. But the Panthers have some of the best uniforms in the country so they have that going for them.
