Indiana Basketball: 3 reasons why Hoosiers’ start is no fluke
By Alec Lasley
The Indiana basketball program is 8-0 for the first time since 2012-13, and there are multiple reasons to believe the Hoosier are here to stay.
Fresh off of a big win against No. 17 Florida State, the Indiana basketball program turned heads nationally with its talent and overall feel of the program.
After a couple of down seasons to start Archie Miller’s tenure, this year seems to have a different feel to it, and seems to have a real team product on the floor.
Starting 8-0 is no small feat, and regardless of the schedule that Indiana has played up to this point, undefeated is still undefeated.
There are still a lot of questions about how the Hoosiers will do come Big Ten play, as Indiana lost 12-of-13 games down the stretch last season, but so far there seem to be very little weaknesses when it comes to the Indiana roster.
Fans are excited, coaches are excited, and more importantly the players are excited about the team that is put together this year.
After being predicted to finish in the bottom half of the Big Ten this season, there is a good chance that Indiana could actually finish in the top quarter of teams before finishing near what the predictions were.
Doing a lot of good things to start the year, the question remains, ‘will it last?’. Truthfully, it will and it should due to what they are doing right.
Here are three reasons why Indiana’s 8-0 start is no fluke, all because of what they are doing are things that are based on hustle and heart, something that will travel to any gym they play in all season long.
