6. Nebraska Cornhuskers

Nebraska has never exactly been a huge threat in Big Ten basketball, but now they come armed with coach Fred Hoiberg.

The Cornhuskers are 4-3, however, and have already suffered some bad losses to bad teams such as UC Riverside at home by 19, Southern Utah at home by one in overtime, and George Mason by 19 on a neutral site. Yet in a Big Ten conference game, you can never take a game for granted, especially when the other team has a coach like Hoiberg.

With an entirely new team, the Cornhuskers are still figuring themselves out, and having their first Big Ten game of the season come at Indiana surely won’t help.

Nebraska isn’t terrific on the offensive end, shooting over 45 percent from the field and 34 percent from three as a team, but are abysmal defensively giving up over 75 points per game, which is worst in the Big Ten so far on this young season.

This should be a win for the Hoosiers at Assembly Hall and can either serve as a bounce-back game (if they come up short versus Wisconsin) or boost their in-conference record to 2-0 (if they beat Wisconsin). It’s all about simply getting the job done at home.
