3. Wisconsin Badgers

In the recent tradition of playing a few conference games in the midst of the non-conference schedule, Indiana will travel to Madison to take on the Wisconsin Badgers to follow up their game against Florida State, the Hoosiers’ first true road game.

The Hoosiers often times struggle to win in Madison, but there’s good news! There is no more Ethan Happ for the Badgers, and this is not like your dad’s or grandfather’s Badgers.

Wisconsin is now led by juniors Nate Reuvers and Brad Davidson, who average 15.4 and 12.1 points per game respectively. As for the team, it’s a new year and while they play the same style as before, the firepower seems to be lacking.

Normally a good shooting team, they’ve gotten off to a slow start shooting from deep, only connecting on 31 percent of their threes so far this season, the lowest in over 10 years.

Despite the typical struggles IU has in Madison, this is a very winnable game. Wisconsin is clearly dealing with the repercussions of losing Ethan Happ and has fallen too far less talented teams, such as Richmond and New Mexico. It would be a statement win for the Hoosiers to break the drought of losing on the road in Wisconsin, which makes it a game to circle on the calendar.

Getting off to a 1-0 start in Big Ten play is always nice, and Indiana will look to do so on December 10.
