The Indiana Hoosiers did exactly what they needed to do in the month of November. They went undefeated and did it pretty easily. It may not have always looked pretty but they head to December 7-0 and feeling good about themselves.
Saturday may not have looked great all the time but the Hoosiers used strong defense and just enough scoring to beat South Dakota State 64-50.
The Hoosiers held the Jackrabbits to just 33.9 percent shooting from the field including just 6-of-28 from deep. While Indiana wasn’t much better shooting the ball at a 41.4 percent clip, it was enough for the Hoosiers to get the win.
They were led by Trayce Jackson-Davis who had another great game scoring a game-high 19 points and grabbing 14 total rebounds. It was yet another double-double for the freshman who seems to be stronger with each game.
Justin Smith had a strong game also scoring 18 points on 6-of-11 shooting. Devonte Green came off the bench and showed why many people thought he would lead this team as he scored 11 points and hit 3-of-6 from deep.
It wasn’t a particularly great game for the Hoosiers but they took care of business and remained undefeated on the year. It now gets tougher for Indiana as they only play major competition for the rest of the year.
