Another week of the NBA season passes and many former Indiana basketball players continue to make their mark in the league.

The NBA season is quickly picking up and with teams starting to get in the swing of things, many former Indiana basketball players are showing their worth to their respective teams, while others may be dispensable.

Victor Oladipo continues to make progress and strides in his rehab, and as pointed out before, it looks like his 2019-20 debut will be sooner than originally thought. As he is coming back, Eric Gordon still remains sidelined with knee surgery, which he had last week.

Romeo Langford continues to see most of his time in the G-League, while former Indiana teammate Juwan Morgan made the jump up to the Utah Jazz regular 15-man roster this past week. Averaging 16 points and 8 rebounds a game in Salt Lake City, he signed a two-year, non-guaranteed deal with the Jazz.

Let’s take a look at his the rest of the Hoosiers in the NBA are doing.

Thomas Bryant (Washington Wizards – 14.6 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists)

The Wizards’ center continues to show off his skillset as he had, yet another, good week as Washington picked up two wins.

Bryant got back in the double-double group as he had his first in six games, with a 21-point and 11-rebound night against the Hornets.

Overall, his skills continue to develop as he had another multiple assist night, which happened to be a career-high with six against the Spurs. On the week, Bryant shot 72.4 percent from the field, raising his season average to 55.7 percent.

Noah Vonleh (Minnesota TImberwolves – 4.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.1 assists)

Vonleh continues to see around 12 minutes a game on the season as another week went by, but again, he continues to be nothing more than a rotational piece.

As the Timberwolves lost all three games last week, Vonleh’s best effort came in a night in which he had three points, eight rebounds, and four assists.

Karl Anthony Towns continues to see the majority of the minutes, playing ahead of any other front court player for the Timberwolves.

Yogi Ferrell (Sacramento Kings – 4.9 points, 1.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists)

Ferrell’s time continues to increase as De’Aaron Fox nurses his ankle injury, but Ferrell has been a bit inconsistent with his shot when he does see the floor.

Shooting just 31 percent from the field last week, Ferrell tried to impact the game in other ways with one game of four assists, another with four rebounds, and one with seven free throw attempts.

When Fox returns to the lineup, it will be interesting to see what Ferrell’s role goes to, and if he remains a part of the rotation, something he was struggling to do before.

OG Anunoby (Toronto Raptors – 11.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists)

Anunoby’s week was headlined by a career-high performance against the Hornets in which he had 24 points on 10-of-13 shooting. After that however, he was a bit dull.

With the other two games putting in single-digit points, Anunoby took a bit of a backseat the remainder of the week.

He continues to be putting together a terrific season and has helped the Raptors get off to a good start following the NBA Championship last year.

Cody Zeller (Charlotte Hornets – 11.3 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists)

After Zeller’s hot start to the year, he has cooled off drastically and finally scored in double-digits after four straight games with single-digit outings.

With guys like Devonte Graham, Miles Bridges, and P.J. Washington taking on a larger scoring role than expected, Zeller has slipped down to the fourth or fifth option on the team.

Despite that, Zeller remains active on the boards and gives it all he has every single night.
