The Indiana football program had a big letdown on Saturday as Michigan came into Memorial Stadium and dominated the Hoosiers.

After a 7-2 start to the season, the Indiana football program has fallen in two straight weeks and are now asking themselves ‘what’s next’ after a huge letdown against the Michigan Wolverines on Saturday afternoon.

Now, the Hoosiers turn the page to the final week of the regular season and look to take down their in-state rival in Purdue.

It has been nearly 20 years since the last eight win season for the Indiana program, and after the first nine games of the season, it looked like Hoosiers would definitely reach that mark, but after their play over the last two weeks and some injuries taking a toll, it is now a bit blurrier than expected.

While the Hoosiers have had a big year, and not taking anything away from them, who exactly have they beat? Michigan, at home, was another chance to prove that they belong in the national conversation, and once again the Hoosiers fell.

Granted some of the previous wins this season would have been losses last year, showing the progress Indiana has made, there are still a lot of loose ends that need to be tied up.

Before looking ahead to Purdue, here are the three takeaways from Indiana’s loss to Michigan on Saturday.
