3. Don’t turn the ball over

This obviously is a key for every game, but Michigan is very good at causing turnovers. Don Bown, the defensive coordinator for the Wolverines, loves to bring pressure on the quarterback to force him into hurried decisions which usually work out well for Michigan.

The Wolverines secondary also plays close man-to-man defense most of the time and is very good at getting their hands on the ball. Peyton Ramsey must do a good job of not letting the pressure get to him and make good decisions.

He also must take care of the ball and not let Michigan strip him in the pocket. The Wolverines have been known for being able to get to the quarterback and knocking the ball loose. Michigan’s offense has been better about sustaining drives but they, like most teams, are much better on a short field after a turnover. They like to attack after a sudden change and usually cash in.

Indiana needs to avoid giving the Wolverines the opportunity to score a bunch of points quickly and not turning the ball over will do that. Fortunately, the Hoosiers have been pretty good at avoiding turnovers this year they just need to keep that facet of the game going.

It’s simple, don’t turn the ball over and it will give you the ability to stay in the game with the Wolverines.

The Hoosiers are running into a red-hot Michigan team right now and they are going to be tough to beat, but if they can focus on these three keys and execute them, they can beat them. The streak has lived on long enough the Hoosiers are ready to end it.
