This Saturday the Indiana football team hosts the Wolverines of Michigan at 3:30. Can they break a 23 game losing streak to them and pull off the upset?

It has been 23 games and 32 years since the Hoosiers last beat the Michigan Wolverines. They look to stop both of those streaks when they host them on Saturday at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington.

The Hoosiers have been the little brother to the big boys since the divisions have been split up in the Big Ten, but they are showing that they belong this year. They lost a close game to Penn State in Happy Valley last week and hope to not only get close this week but pull off the upset.

A win on Saturday would put the Hoosiers in third place in the East division of the Big Ten, behind Ohio State and Penn State. It is a position that nobody would have predicted when the season started.

Even the most optimistic experts would have only had Indiana fifth and maybe sixth. Probably the only team they had them definitely ahead of was Rutgers. But Indiana has surpassed all expectations this year and with Michigan State in a tailspin it has vaulted them up to a possible third-place finish.

Indiana should be a favorite when they play Purdue next week so if they could pull off the upset of Michigan they have a very good shot at 9 wins for only the third time and with a bowl win their first 10 win season in the history of the program.

Michigan is a big favorite and playing very well right now, but they have looked vulnerable at times and Indiana needs to take advantage of that. We take a look at three keys that can help them pull off the upset.
