Indiana Basketball vs Portland St: How to watch, injuries, odds
By Alec Lasley
The Indiana basketball program returns to the court on Saturday against Portland State looking to advance to 2-0 on the young season.
After a very good overall performance in the season opening win against Western Illinois, Indiana basketball is back in action on Saturday afternoon when welcoming in Portland State into Assembly Hall.
The Hoosiers will look to build on the opener, as they did very little ‘wrong’, and continue to be as efficient as possible on the offensive end.
While they haven’t struggled on the offensive end for the most part, the Hoosiers are learning how to play without their go-to player. Al Durham and Justin Smith both stepped up in the opener as five players were in double-digits all together.
Learning how to play without senior guard Devonte Green now, will continue to benefit the Hoosiers down the stretch of the season and once Big Ten play gets into full swing.
While Rob Phinisee seems to be back to full health, there is still one Indiana player who is listed on the injury report for now.
Out
Devonte Green (Hamstring)
Green has missed most of the preseason with a hamstring injury. After not playing in either the Marquette scrimmage or Gannon Exhibition, he missed the season opener on Tuesday as well. Once again, all signs point to Green being held out of Saturday’s matchup.
