Indiana is in the middle of a special season. For a school that has struggled to become bowl eligible, the Hoosiers have gotten to six wins before Halloween.
Indiana went up to Nebraska as a slight road favorite and did not disappoint. After getting behind early the Hoosiers battled back, got some key turnovers, had a career day from Peyton Ramsey and came away with a huge road win. The win brought their record to 6-2 and gave them a very real shot at winning eight games this year and confidence to maybe pull off a huge upset against Penn State or Michigan.
This time of year the Hoosier faithful have usually turned their attention to the basketball team, but not this year. Indiana is showing that the football team might be on to something great. They still have some mountains to climb to get into the next tier of the Big Ten, but they are firmly in the middle right now.
On Saturday the 1-6 Northwestern Wildcats come to town and the Hoosiers will once again be favored to win the game. To make matters even more exciting it will be the first November night game the Hoosiers have ever hosted.
