5. How Will Jerome Hunter Fit Into The Rotation?

Look, I think everyone is excited for what Jerome Hunter can bring but again, expectations do need to be tempered a bit.

Will Hunter put up 10+ points a game, no probably not, but will he be a nice addition to the rotation and probably help win the Hoosiers some games, absolutely.

Hunter has played well in his two ‘showings’ this fall, at Hoosier Hysteria as well as Saturday’s scrimmage against Marquette, and if he can provide that lift as a reserve every game, that will be a major plus to a team that lacked firepower off the bench a season ago.

With Hunter being 6-foot-7 but also being able to shoot the ball at a high level, his versatility will provide Archie Miller with the ability to use him in a variety of ways. Whether he be a stretch four, or used as a shooting guard in a big lineup, Hunter will provide much-needed value.

What will be interesting to monitor though is how he plays in the middle and towards the end of the season. After missing nearly two years of playing competitive basketball, not only will his stamina be a question mark but also how his body will respond after playing against high level athletes every single day.

The Hoosiers will love to see Hunter back on the floor come the regular season, but it’ll be interesting to see what role he plays and how effective he is throughout the season.
