1. Stevie Scott is Back

It may have just taken half of the season, but the sophomore running back is back to his normal self on the field.

After struggling at times throughout the first couple of months, partly due to a new offensive coordinator and a heavy passing attack that featured a lot of upperclassmen and a new QB, Scott was inconsistent at best.

Now, after two straight 100+ yard games, Scott is back in the mold as one of the better runners in the Big Ten.

Following just a nine yard performance against Ohio State back in week three, Scott and o-coordinator Kalen DeBoer both made sure to get the running attack back to where it was a season ago. With that, Scott has averaged 108.8 rushing yards per game in Indiana’s last four matchups, including averaging over seven yards per carry.

After failing to have a run for longer than 10 yards in the first couple of weeks, since the UConn game, Scott has torched defenses for distances of 57, 34, 23, and 19 amongst many others.

With a 108-yard performance on Saturday against Maryland that included two rushing touchdowns and 36 receiving yards, Scott is now fourth in the conference with 553 yards on the season. While he is still 200 yards away from third in the Big Ten, he also has 30 less carries than the spot ahead of him.

Especially with Michael Penix dealing with another injury, it is crucial for Scott to be able to carry a lot of the offense again, despite Peyton Ramsey having a very good year in the action he has seen.
