Indiana Football: 3 takeaways from win vs Maryland

Indiana football continued to find ways to win as the program picked up its fifth win of the season, off to the best start since 2007.

In what was one of the bigger games of the season for the Indiana football program as they went on the road to Maryland, a team that was looking to regain its offensive punch, and the Hoosiers came out victorious.

Now, just one win stands in the way of returning to a bowl game, and five more opportunities stand in the way of that.

While it was Peyton Ramsey who stole the show, it was another good all-around performance for a team that is starting to get some national recognition.

On Sunday, a new release of the updated polls came out and while the Hoosiers didn’t see their name in the top-25, they did however receive a vote in the coaches poll.

With the Hoosiers getting back to a more balanced attack for the second straight game, and the offense getting better and better each week, the defense still has had its issues.

Whether it be missed tackles, penalties or just breakdown in coverage, it was the defense that sealed the game with a Reese Taylor interception.

Tom Allen will look to become bowl eligible next week as Indiana travels to Nebraska, but for now it’s time to look back at the win over Maryland.
