Indiana football travels to Maryland on Saturday and looks to advance to 5-2, getting one step closer to a bowl. Here are 5 players to watch out for.

The Indiana football program is fresh off of a terrific performance against Rutgers that saw the Hoosiers win their first homecoming game since 2010.

Now, it’s full steam ahead as the remaining games in the 2019 season are all difficult, but winnable.

Maryland has been one of the most inconsistent teams this season, starting off the season with a margin of victory of 142-20 in the first two weeks, but also fell to Penn State and Purdue, two of their last three games, by a score of 99-14.

Josh Jackson, the Virginia Tech transfer QB, looks to be out for an extended period of time with an ankle injury he suffered in the Rutgers game, leaving much to be desired in the passing game with Tyrrell Pigrome.

Maryland still has still players in the backfield that has produced a very solid one-two punch this season, combining for 12 touchdowns in six games.

News came out this week that the Terrapins would be without starting cornerback Tino Ellis, who suffered a season ending injury against Purdue last week, and will have to lean heavily on inexperienced defensive backs for the rest of the year.

Limping into this matchup is Maryland, but the Hoosiers can’t take them lightly as this is still a very competent team that can put up points at any moment.

Here are five players to watch out for when the Hoosiers take on the Terrapins this weekend.
