1. Devonte Green

Devonte Green is the most important player for Indiana coming into the 2019-2020 season, as everyone probably assumed.

If Green struggles as the primary offensive option this season, Indiana could be in trouble. But, there’s strong reason to believe he will succeed and improve.

The recently named captain averaged almost 10 points, three boards and three assists last season while hitting 41 percent of his threes–easily the best mark on the team.

His ability to create for himself and others, combined with his prolific three-point shooting makes him arguably Indiana’s most indispensable player.

Assuming he can continue improving and handle an increased role with the departure of Langford and Morgan, Green figures to be the go-to scorer within the offense.

Green showed he could do it last season as he averaged 15.4 points per game over the last month of the year, but now it’s time to show if he can do it for 30+ games.

Green’s play will be a huge indicator of how successful this Hoosiers team will be.
