4. Trayce Jackson-Davis

Trayce Jackson-Davis was the prize recruit of this 2019 recruiting cycle for Archie Miller and his staff.

The highly recruited 6-foot-9 forward out of Greenwood, Indiana could be the perfect replacement for the loss of Juwan Morgan. He’s similarly built to Morgan and has just as much, if not more, athleticism, meant for the power forward spot.

Figuring to be an integral part of the offense as a freshman, his ability to both stretch the floor from the perimeter and score from inside should allow him to slide into a form of Morgan’s role within the offense last season.

With Archie Miller wanting to play multiple two-big lineups, Jackson-Davis’ ability to become more perimeter oriented on both ends will be crucial if Miller’s new scheme will work to his advantage.

Granted, he’s just a freshman so it is unfair to expect him to produce as much as Morgan did the previous two seasons, but he’s extremely talented and one of the most important pieces to this team’s success.
