Indiana Football: Analyzing Hoosiers’ chances at a bowl game
By Adam Childs
vs Michigan – November 23rd
Michigan comes to town a week before rivalry week. The Wolverines will play Ohio State the next week while the Hoosiers will travel to Purdue.
The Wolverines could be playing for a chance to win the Big Ten West or trying to salvage a wasted season. Michigan just looked great against Rutgers but again it is Rutgers, and before that, they were blown out by Wisconsin as they ran all over them.
The talent is there for the Wolverines but they have not been able to get over the hump of beating the big names. However, they have done a great job of beating teams that they should and like it or not Indiana is one of those teams.
The Hoosiers keep getting close as they have taken Michigan to overtime a few times lately, but can’t quite get the win. Michigan hasn’t been great on offense this year, but they have athletes everywhere and they will be tough for the Hoosiers to stop.
Indiana should be able to score on the Wolverines but stopping them will tough. It could be a close game again, but this is the type of game Michigan and Jim Harbaugh have won during his time there.
Closer than expected but unfortunately another loss for the Hoosiers.
