3. Michigan State Won’t Have Any Passing Touchdowns

Brian Lewerke is an interesting quarterback. Sometimes he can look like a top Big Ten QB while other times he looks completely lost.

Lewerke has played well against Indiana in the past and has a good start to 2019, but the Hoosiers will look to attack him all afternoon long on Saturday.

The running game is the motor that keeps the Michigan State offense going, but there are very few times that Lewerke has won the Spartans games. Yes, he has done it before, but just not very often.

In his career, he has had 11 starts without a passing touchdown, and in those games the Spartans have six losses, something Indiana looks to add to this weekend.

Indiana’s run defense isn’t as good as it can be, but with the offensive line depleted – as touched on earlier – the Hoosiers’ ability to get in the backfield will be able to force Lewerke out of the pocket and in uncomfortable positions at times.

As Big Ten Play Awaits, Consistency IU's Biggest Kryptonite. dark. Next

With Indiana’s ability to keep the Michigan State offense at bay for the most part over the past few seasons, if it comes down to Lewerke trying to beat IU, I will take my chances in that matchup.
