Question Marks On Offensive Line

This season, the offensive line was already a question mark and on Saturday the Hoosiers got hit hard, and it likely won’t get better as the season moves forward.

Coy Cronk was the senior leader on the o-line and a crucial member of the offense, but after falling to what is most likely a season ending injury, the offensive line will be something to keep tabs on as we get into Big Ten play.

With 36 starts in his career, Cronk will be someone difficult to replace. The Hoosier now turn to freshman Matthew Bedford, a name that coach Tom Allen touched on as someone who may have to burn his potential redshirt season and move into the rotation, and possible starting position.

Caleb Jones and Simon Stepaniak become that much more important for Indiana and need to make sure the right side of the line is locked down with some inexperience on the left side now. Hunter Littlejohn’s leadership at the center position is crucial in keeping the youth on the line working as one.
