The Indiana football program got back to its winning ways on Saturday with a 38-3 victory over the UConn Huskies.

It was a much-needed win for the Indiana football program on Saturday to get back on track after a poor week three performance against Ohio State.

In its 38-3 win, the Hoosiers showed signs of life that give fans hope for a positive season morning forward. With that, there were still some parts of the game they need to improve on.

Michael Penix still wasn’t available for the Hoosiers but Peyton Ramsey bounced back in a big way and played like the 12 game starter he was last season, instead of his shaky performance in week three.

Tom Allen got what he wanted heading into Big Ten play; a win. Now, he needs to focus on Michigan State and getting the first conference win of the season.

Though it wasn’t perfect, Indiana showed signs that they are continuing to grow and with the season just four games in, Indiana is halfway to six, and one win closer to becoming bowl eligible.

Here are three takeaways from IU’s performance against UConn on Saturday.
