Pierce Thomas

An under-the-radar recruit from Brownsburg, small forward Pierce Thomas is currently ranked 189th in the 247Sports 2021 class rankings. Thomas is a great athlete at 6-foot-5 with some nice hops. Thomas finished his sophomore outing with 9.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game.

He still has a ways to go before being Big Ten ready, but the hope that he develops a solid skillset to accompany that athleticism is what has caught the eye of several high major schools.

He already has a balanced game and can contribute in many ways, which is reflected in his relatively high assist numbers. At this point, Thomas isn’t really a threat from outside, as he only shot 31 percent from deep last season and has some wonky shooting mechanics.

Indiana has yet to extend Thomas an offer, but the coaching staff will certainly be keeping an eye on him over the next year. As of now, Butler is the only high major school to offer him a scholarship, but Indiana State and Purdue are staying tuned in as well.
