Blake Wesley

Revisiting the backcourt, Blake Wesley is a 6-foot-5 two guard out of South Bend who could provide some scoring for Indiana. He is currently ranked at 87th, but 247’s Brian Snow recently said that Wesley was a prime candidate to improve his stock this upcoming season, saying it’s very possible all the pieces begin fitting together for his game.

Wesley has smooth touch at the rim and fluid jumpshot mechanics, but the aesthetic mechanics have yet to bear fruit. He averaged 12.3 points, 3 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game last season, but he only hit on 34 percent of his three-point attempts and 72 percent of his free throws. However, all those numbers can be expected to go up this season as he continues to develop more parts of his game.

Wesley goes to the same high school that current Indiana player Damezi Anderson once did, and he plays with Anderson’s little brother.  Ball State, Butler, Purdue, and Notre Dame are all interested in the four-star guard, but his recruitment is likely to heat up at the high major level in the coming months.

Indiana offered Wesley a scholarship late in July, and a visit is expected to be finalized soon for later this fall.
