Hassan Diarra

The last point guard target for the Indiana staff comes from the No. 1 player in Connecticut.

Diarra is a feisty point guard who, like Whitt, fits the message that Archie Miller is preaching to recruits, players, and fans.

Though not the scorer that some of the other guards are, he is a terrific floor leader and a hard-nosed defender who can pick up full court.

His recruitment has been very wide open and hasn’t really progressed as quickly as a lot of the others around the country. Georgetown is the latest program to offer, which includes a list of Georgia, St. Johns, Texas A&M, Dayton and Indiana, amongst others.

The Indiana staff visited Diarra earlier this week and continue to press on in his recruitment.

As of now, it looks like Indiana’s best chance of landing a ball handler in the 2020 class is with Diarra, albeit still a ways to go for the four-star guard.
