Jerome Johnson (Indiana, DE)

One of the lone returning defensive lineman with a lot of experience, Jerome Johnson got off to a great start week one with five tackles and 1.5 sacks against Ball State.

Johnson, at 6-foot-3 and 294 pounds, is a big member of the d-line and could have a field day against the offensive line of Eastern Illinois that has limited experience up front.

In 2018 the Panthers gave up 22 sacks, and Johnson, who led the Hoosiers with 3.5 sacks, will look to disrupt the backfield all game long and take the rhythm away from Brantley and the rest of the Eastern Illinois offense that scored 50+ points twice last year.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Johnson continues his hot streak and adds another sack or two on Saturday.
