The Indiana football team came away with a 34-24 win over Ball State on Saturday. Here are the grades for all of the units for the Hoosiers.

It was a shaky opener at times for the Indiana football program but that didn’t stop many players from having a great start to the season.

Despite never trailing in the game, and having control for most of the entirety, the Hoosiers were still never able to put the clamps down on Ball State.

The 10-point win was the eighth straight season opener that the Hoosiers have won, and it was also a revenge game from the last season opener they lost against Ball State, which came back in 2011 at Lucas Oil Stadium as well.

However you may look at it, there was destined to be some rust and kinks to work out, but through all of that, there were many Hoosiers who stood out with their play on Saturday on all sides of the ball, but also players who struggled.

It’s just game one, but there is a lot to takeaway from the performance, so here are our grades for the offense, defense, and special teams units.
