The Indiana basketball program secured another commitment to its 2020 class with four-star wing Jordan Geronimo.
It was a terrific weekend for the Indiana basketball program as they played host to 2020 four-star wing Jordan Geronimo. The Hoosiers did such a great job, that they secured a commitment from Geronimo late Monday night.
According to Peegs.com Jeff Rabjohns, the Hoosiers nabbed the No. 85 player in the 2020 class. Geronimo also announced his decision on Instagram.
Geronimo was one of the biggest surprises this summer as his recruitment blew up during the AAU Circuit. Though he never had a final list, Geronimo had visits set up to Georgia on September 21, and Boston College on September 27, but Indiana made sure he knew he was a priority.
Geronimo previously talked about why Indiana was so intriguing.
"“Indiana’s pitch was explaining to me how they were going to use me in their system and how I can be a basketball star in the next couple of years under the right development,” he explained. “He started listing NBA players that he coached and I’m not going to lie, that kind of got me feeling some type of way.”"
The Mass Rivals (MA) to Indiana route is not new to Indiana as former Hoosier Noah Vonleh also played for Mass Rivals on the AAU circuit before his lone season at Indiana.
Geronimo is great in transition where his athleticism shines, and he also has a strong frame and good length to finish through contact at the rim. He also has a good ability to knock down three’s, but could get more consistent from game to game.
Geronimo joins Anthony Leal and Trey Galloway in Indiana’s 2020 recruiting class, a class that is now ranked No. 4 in the country.
