Michael Penix Jr. (Indiana, QB)

Penix was named the starter this week after a tough quarterback battle between himself, Jack Tuttle and 2018’s starter Peyton Ramsey.

Appearing in three games last season converting 21-of-34 passes in the air along with a touchdown, Penix suffered a tough knee injury during the Penn State contest, ultimately ending his season.

Penix is a dual-threat quarterback which will be tough for a Ball state defense that averaged just over two sacks a game last year.

At 6-foot-3 with speed and a terrific arm, going up against a Ball State very experienced secondary, it will be interesting to see how Penix handles the season opener.
