Vs Ohio State

The Buckeyes came into 2019 with almost as many questions as the Hoosiers did. How will Ryan Day perform as a first year head coach? Will Justin Fields be able to step in for Dwayne Haskins? Who will replace Nick Bosa on the defensive line?

Ohio State, once again, will be heading into Bloomington with a top-5 ranking and look to be the token upset for the Hoosiers on the season.

Being just week three, some of the above questions may not be answered yet and the Buckeyes could still be working out some of the kinks, making it a potential upset for Indiana.

Despite the last two games ending with 20+ point losses, Indiana was up going into halftime in 2017, were down by just single digits heading into the fourth quarter in 2018, and lost by just seven points in 2015.

What hurt the Hoosiers in the past was the lack of talented depth behind the starters. This year however, the staff has made it a priority, with the past two recruiting classes, to have built that up and look to reap the benefits come the fourth quarter in some of these closely contested matchups.
