Week Nine: Northwestern

NOV 2 (SAT) TBA
BLOOMINGTON, IND.

The Hoosiers head back home after taking a loss at Nebraska and look to get back in the win column against one of the staples atop the Big Ten in recent years.

Playing in the Big Ten title game a season ago, Northwestern brings in heralded five-star quarterback from the 2016 class Hunter Johnson. Johnson transferred from Clemson and looks to lead the Wildcats back to Indy for another title game appearance.

The Hoosiers defense shouldn’t have too difficult of a time slowing down the Northwestern offense as they ranked just 123rd in average yards per play (4.95) last year. Because of that, it’ll be a defensive showdown that could result in not a lot of offense.

Indiana will be in a tough spot trying to beat Northwestern, a program they have lost the last five matchups against.

Indiana will lose a tight one in Bloomington as they hit a bit of a losing streak to start November.

Prediction: Northwestern 17, Indiana 13
