The four-star point guard added three more official visits to his schedule and has had little communication with the Indiana basketball program.

Archie Miller has been putting a full court press on during the summer trying to add some of the country’s best talent and while it has resulted in two 2020 commitments in the recent weeks, not every prospect being recruited by the Hoosier will end up in an Indiana basketball jersey.

One of those players is 2020 guard R.J. Davis. The 5-foot-11 Davis took the Nike EYBL by storm this summer and went from someone not that many people knew, to a prized recruit that started receiving offers from some of the best programs in the country. His play helped his ranking jump up to No. 85 overall in the 2020 class and the No. 8 player at his position by 247 Sports.

The Hoosiers have been in talks with Davis for most of the summer and have been trying to get the New York native to Bloomington for a visit. On Monday, Davis set three official visits, none of which being to Indiana.

Per Pat Lawless of Prep Circuit, Davis will take visits to Pittsburgh, Marquette and North Carolina this fall.

Adding to that list, Davis took an official visit to Georgetown in June leaving one more possible official visit in his future. Davis just got off of an unofficial visit to Pittsburgh a couple of weeks ago as well.

After securing its second commitment of the 2020 class with Anthony Leal, the Hoosiers now hold two guard commitments as well as hosting five-star guard Caleb Love in the fall. With five backcourt players slated to be on the roster for the 2020-2021 season, minutes will be hard to come by which could have ultimately been a deciding factor as to why Davis will most likely not visit Indiana.

Regardless of the news on the Davis front, a busy fall begins for the Hoosiers and Archie Miller as Jordan Geronimo will be on campus for an official visit at the end of this month, with Love following shortly after.
