Indiana Football: Game-by-game predictions; Weeks 5-8
By Alec Lasley
Week Five: Michigan State
SEP 28 (SAT) TBA
EAST LANSING, MICH.
The Spartans welcome in the Hoosiers in what could be a crucial week for Indiana. Assuming they drop their game against Ohio State in week three, Indiana will try to avoid an 0-2 start in conference play.
Michigan State looks to rebound after a year in which their offense struggled to get on the same page for the second half of the season and injuries plagued their skill positions.
The Hoosiers look to get back in the win column in the Michigan State series, having lost the last two matchups despite both games being relatively close.
This game could be a turning point in what could be a bowl game appearance or could halt the Hoosiers from reaching that goal again.
I think the Indiana defense will clamp down on Brian Lewerke, making it difficult for the Spartans offense to move the ball most of the game.
It’s time the Hoosiers breakthrough, even though it’s tough to win in East Lansing, something they haven’t done since 2001.
