One of Indiana basketball’s main targets in the 2020 class is set to cut his list again after setting three official visits.

While Archie Miller has been on the side of good news over the past month, the Indiana basketball program may be on the short end of the stick with one 2020 target.

After making the top-10 for four-star forward Jalen Bridges a little over a month ago, the top-100 forward is expected to cut his list again after scheduling three official visits.

Bridges’ dad told 247Sports’ Brian Snow that they will be making official visits to Alabama on September 7, Xavier on September 14 and then Miami on September 20. As for the remaining two visits, they will come from the other seven schools vying for Bridges’ commitment.

Bridges will again trim his list to around five schools, and then the remaining two programs out of Pittsburgh, Ohio State, West Virginia, Indiana, Texas A&M, USC and Oklahoma State will surely be the other visits.

Indiana is in a weird position with Bridges as he originally said he intended on visiting Indiana in the fall, but now with the news about the already scheduled visits and soon to be another group of schools cut from his list, the Hoosiers may end up losing out.

So far, Bridges has already made four unofficial visits to Ohio State, West Virginia, Xavier and most recently Pittsburgh.

With Indiana already securing two commitments in the backcourt and/or on the wing as well as being heavily involved with Matt Cross, the Indiana staff could be prioritizing more traditional ‘big men’ rather than a second small-ball four and big wing. With Miami also in Cross’ top tier of finalists, it could be a good swing in the Hoosiers direction if Bridges’ relationship with Miami continues to develop.

If I were to guess, I wouldn’t expect Indiana to make Bridges’ next cut, especially with IU gaining momentum with Jordan Geronimo who will be on campus at the end of August for an official visit.
