Indiana Basketball: 5 most hated Purdue players of all-time
Chris Kramer (2006-2010)
Remember how I said that Cardinal is second in all-time career steals for a Boilermaker? Well he was surpassed a few years later by Chris Kramer.
A captain for the Purdue team three years in a row, Kramer played from 2006-2010 and totaled 274 steals in his career.
Kramer wasn’t the kind of player Cardinal was, as he only finished with about half as many career points, but he was a tremendous defensive specialist and hustle guy. He won two Big Ten defensive player of the year awards and made three All-Big Ten defensive teams.
It’s the same story as with Cardinal, just a different player. It’s infuriating to see a guy lock up your team on the defensive end, constantly pestering your players and taking the ball away. Kramer is the best Purdue player of all time at doing just that, which earns him a spot on this list.
