Indiana Basketball: Caleb Love dishes on Indiana’s involvement

One of the top targets for the Indiana basketball program in the 2020 recruiting class cut his list this week and talked about the Hoosiers involvement.
The Indiana basketball program is on a string of good news after Trey Galloway’s commitment and making updated lists for two top-100 prospects, and they hope to keep the momentum going in the right direction.
Five-star guard Caleb Love cut his list on Friday down to six programs which included Indiana.
Indiana has been involved with Love for the majority of his recruitment but that may not be enough to beat out some of the other programs.
Love talked to Rivals’ recruiting analyst Corey Evans about the Hoosiers’ involvement in his recruitment.
"“They want for me to come in and turn that program around. They have been in a drought lately so they want for me to come in and lead their team to a championship and they said that they would put the ball in my hands. Only thing with them, they are going to try and get pieces around me and we will go from there.”"
With Indiana involved with many talented prospects, sealing a commitment from a couple of the other top recruits could seal the deal in Love’s mind as Evans said previously, “he would be even more interested in the program if it was able to snag other highly-touted prospects.”
Jalen Bridges, Anthony Leal, Matt Cross, D.J. Steward, R.J. Davis and Dawson Garcia are some of the other targets that could be names to sway Love’s opinion. Who do I think are realistic options of landing? Obviously Leal and Cross seem to be great options but I don’t think that would be enough to land Love.
D.J. Steward seems all but a lock to go to Duke, and R.J. Davis and the Hoosiers haven’t had much progress in the past few weeks so that leaves you Jalen Bridges and Dawson Garcia. If, the Hoosiers can land Garcia, I think that would be very intriguing for Love as he would still be able to run the backcourt, but also have a five-star big man to join him and possibly Trayce Jackson-Davis in the Indiana front court.
Currently with Trey Galloway signed, there still are at least three available scholarships for the 2020-2021 season, so there will be plenty of room to secure one, if not two, valuable prospects to try to persuade Love to come to Bloomington.
