The Indiana basketball program released which numbers the incoming freshmen  will be wearing for the 2019-20 season.

Though most people are getting ready for the football season to get underway, the Indiana basketball season is just right around the corner as well.

With that, it means that it’s almost time to see the incoming freshmen in their Indiana jerseys. What numbers will they wear exactly? Indiana fans got a look at what Trayce Jackson-Davis and Armaan Franklin will look like in the cream and crimson when Jackson-Davis posted a sneak peak on his instagram page.

For Jackson-Davis, it looks as if he will be sporting no. 4 and Franklin will be wearing no. 2.

Some notable recent players to wear no. 4 include Victor Oladipo, Robert Johnson, and Bracey Wright. All three went on to have terrific careers in Bloomington and if Jackson-Davis’ career is anything like theirs, he’ll be one terrific Hoosier.

For no. 2, Josh Newkirk, Nick Zeisloft, Christian Watford, and A.J. Moye were some of the more recent players to sport the number.

Both Jackson-Davis and Franklin look to make immediate impacts in Bloomington, and while they will be expected to play much different roles in their freshman season, both could be part of the recruiting class that officially turns around the Indiana program and gets them back in the NCAA Tournament, and national conversation.
