1. Purdue Boilermakers

Purdue has long remained the Indiana Hoosier’s most hated rival and no state is more synonymous with basketball than Indiana, so it’s only fitting.

Separated by just over 100 miles, the Boilermakers make for the perfect rival, as they are fellow Big Ten competitors and the only other Big Ten school in the state of Indiana.

While Purdue leads the overall series 120-89, Indiana has five NCAA Championships while Purdue has a single runner-up appearance.

The rivalry contains numerous incidents, ranging from Bob Knight’s infamous chair throwing to Isiah Thomas’ punch against a Purdue player.
