The Indiana basketball program has a long and successful history, and one that may rub some people the wrong way. The Hoosiers have had their fair share of rivals, but who are the five most hated?

The Indiana basketball program has been involved in some of the best games in college basketball history, and unfortunately been on both sides of history.

Because of the storied history of Indiana, their rivalries run deep and have run through many generations of families. Not only do they have the history, but they have one of the best arenas in all of college basketball, which have made for many good memories.

Though Indiana basketball hasn’t been up to par the last few years, they have still had an opportunity to play in a lot of big time environments.

With recent opportunities, such as the Big Ten/ACC Challenge and the Crossroads Classic, Indiana has been granted the chance to play against non-conference opponents in recent years that have rekindled old rivalries, and started to form new ones.

While the Purdue Boilermakers are without a doubt Indiana University’s top rival across the board, what other schools have shown rival potential for the Hoosier basketball program?

We look into the five schools that have been the most hated rivals of the Indiana faithful.
