One Indiana basketball target is expected to see a rise in his ranking following a terrific end to his AAU season on the Adidas Gauntlet.

Archie Miller and the Indiana basketball program are waiting patiently for their first commitment of the 2020 class, and hoping it comes soon. After two good recruiting classes to start off his Indiana coaching career, the 2020 class may be the most important one to date.

With his roster starting to be assembled of the players that he has recruited, and not inherited, the third recruiting class is usually the one that either helps you take the next step with the program, or keeps you on the same trajectory as before.

There are three names that come to mind for Indiana fans when thinking about the 2020 class, Anthony Leal, Matt Cross, and Trey Galloway. All three seem to be IU leans, but have yet to make any sort of decision.

One of those players, Trey Galloway, was highlighted this past weekend for his play in the Adidas Gauntlet Finale for Indiana Elite. In Rivals writer Eric Bossi’s Adidas Finale Awards, he had some good things to say about Galloway.

"“We debated whether or not Galloway should make his way back into the rankings when we updated them in late June. I wasn’t so sure he had earned his way in. I’m pretty sure I was wrong. Galloway does a little bit of everything you would like to see a guard do and he plays with a tremendous motor. It’s hard to think we won’t be able to find a spot for him in the next update to the 2020 Rivals150.”"

While Galloway has hovered around the 120-140 range in most rankings, his play this summer has turned heads around the country. He is currently ranked as the No. 121 prospect in 247Sports rankings.

Galloway averaged16.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game this summer. Struggling with his shot throughout his high school year due to a wrist injury, he put any doubts about his shooting ability aside as he shot nearly 40 percent from three on the circuit and 61.4 percent overall.

Indiana is said to have the upper-hand in his recruitment, but schools like Michigan State, Iowa, Notre Dame and others are trying to steal him away from the Hoosiers.
