One of the biggest named coaches in the country had a lot of good things to say about Tom Allen and the Indiana football program.

Big Ten Media Day was filled with a lot of storylines and great quotes, mainly by just a single coach in Jim Harbaugh. He addressed a lot of topics, including the Indiana football program and what Tom Allen is building in Bloomington.

Many people have been open about the division makeups in the Big Ten and how much stronger top to bottom the Big Ten East is. Harbaugh addressed that by giving credit to the Hoosiers, while having yet to breakthrough are very close to receiving a lot of recognition.

Harbaugh said “Indiana gives us heck every time,” and spoke on the fact that they are even one of the teams on the rise in the conference.

Indiana has seemingly played Michigan the hardest in the country outside of Ohio State over the past couple of years, as Harbaugh touched on. Taking the Wolverines to overtime twice in the past four seasons, they have also either had the lead or been tied with Michigan in the second half in three other games since 2013.

This season Indiana welcomes the Wolverines into Memorial Stadium as they look to get a signature win against one of the better programs in the country and a statement win that could put the rest of the conference on notice.

Either way, this is just another sign that Indiana will be a different team in 2019 and look to make a statement both on and off the field, building on some of the momentum they bring from the spring and Big Ten Media Day.
