J.K. Dobbins (Jr; Ohio State)

Another big name running back in the Big Ten is that of J.K. Dobbins.

The Ohio State back took the conference by storm when he took over the starting duties from Mike Weber a couple of seasons ago and never looked back. Since then he has rushed for 2,456 yards and 17 rushing touchdowns.

What makes him great is his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield as well. He secured 26 receptions for 263 yards a season ago.

Despite his terrific career thus far, he has had his inconsistencies.

In 28 career games, 15 of them have come and and gone with Dobbins rushing for less than 75 yards. In fact, he’s rushed for 75 yards or less more times than he has over 100 yards. For a running back that is a household name and considered one of the best running backs in the country, he needs to put up better numbers on a consistent basis.

If he does that, he could hoist the trophy at the end of the season, but if not, he may not even be thinking about going to the NFL.
