Travis Etienne (Jr; Clemson)

Etienne has been one of the most crucial members in any program the past couple of seasons, being a major part of Clemson’s run.

After a terrific 2017, he set single-season school records in 2018 in rushing yards (1,658), yards per carry (8.1), rushing touchdowns (24), total touchdowns (26) and points scored (156).

Etienne was the ACC Offensive Player of the Year a season ago and rushed for 195 yards on 28 carries and three touchdowns in the two College Football Playoff games, on their way to another National Championship.

His ability to be an every down back is crucial for the Tigers as he had over 120 more carries than the second leading rusher from a season ago.

His kryptonite will be Trevor Lawrence, however. After a terrific freshman season, Lawrence comes back looking to not only lead the Tigers to back-to-back championships, but also has his eyes set on the Heisman Trophy. If Lawrence has that type of season, that may be the only thing that stops Etienne from winning the Doak Walker Award.
