Louisville Cardinals

Whereas Purdue may not be the right fit, I can definitely see Lander sporting a Louisville jersey for his college years.

Right now, they may be sitting in the best position for the five-star guard. With zero commits in the 2020 class currently, they aren’t heavily favored for any point guard in the class but are in the mix for a few.

A.J. Hoggard and Andre Curbelo are two players to watch as they are both top-60 guards who are high-major prospects.

Looking back at Chris Mack’s teams at both Xavier and now Louisville, he has always had strong lead guards who are the major point of attack. With Xavier, he had Trevon Bluiett, Edmond Sumner, Semaj Christon, Mark Lyons, and Tu Holloway amongst others and Lander would fit in perfectly with the freedom Mack gives his guards.

If the Cardinals are the choice, Lander would be handed the keys to the car and be with the ball in his hands all of the time. Mack would not only give him the freedom to play, he would allow him to make freshman mistakes and be able to learn through them early in his freshman season and reap the benefits come ACC play.

With his scoring ability combined with his ability to create for his teammates and be a lockdown defender, he would make Louisville an immediate player to win the ACC crown.
