The Indiana football program has jumped into the race for a top 2021 offensive lineman early in his recruitment and are already standing out.

Tom Allen has turned the Indiana football program into a breeding ground for NFL offensive lineman since taking over the coaching duties. Sending three lineman to the NFL through the draft in the past three drafts and a handful of others signing deals as free agents, Indiana has built a great program, starting by recruiting in the trenches.

Though Indiana is off to a good start with their 2020 class, it is never too early to get involved with the recruitment of top 2021 prospects.

Luke Collinsworth is a top-300 prospect in the country according to 247Sports, and the No. 3 overall recruit in Indiana, and he already holds a handful of offers. Outside of Indiana, Purdue and Cincinnati are two other schools that have already offered and continue to stay in touch with the rising junior.

While Indiana was the first school to offer Collinsworth, they have continued to stand out in his recruitment.

He talked to Allen Trieu of 247Sports about his thoughts on Indiana.

"“The IU offer was really huge,” he explained. “If I am being completely honest, I did not expect it at all. It was true surprise and blessing and I really thank Indiana for believing in me this early. I have been on Indiana’s campus two times for junior day and a camp and I really enjoyed both days. I really enjoy all the coaches. They are really stepping up as a program.”"

Ohio State is one school that has been keeping a close eye on the in-state talent as Collinsworth has already visited their campus multiple times.

With the college football season quickly approaching, Collinsworth made it noted that he wants to get on campus at both Indiana and Ohio State for a game to check out the atmosphere.

This isn’t the first time these two Big Ten foes have fought it out with a top Indiana prospect. Just recently, the Hoosiers lost out on one of their top lineman targets in Josh Fryar as he committed to the Buckeyes.
