The Indiana basketball staff is gearing up for another live evaluation period, taking part in many big events this week.

Archie Miller has been working hard to secure his first commitment in the 2020 class and has put a full press on one guard hoping to get him to be part of the historic Indiana basketball program.

It will be no different this week as the Nike EYBL Finals start at the Peach Jam Invitational, as R.J. Davis looks to finish off a terrific EYBL season. One of their top priorities in the Indiana class, the 6-foot guard plays for NY Renaissance and his coming off of a terrific season averaging 20.3 points while being named an All-EYBL Breakout Performer.

Making Davis a priority since the end of April, the staff has visited him multiple times as well as been on hand to see him play on another handful of occasions.

Davis has been trending upward since the spring and schools such as Kansas and North Carolina have recently jumped in his recruitment.

12 schools, including the Hoosiers will be on hand to watch Davis as the Peach Jam starts on Wednesday.

Georgetown hosted Davis for an official visit at the end of June and continues to put the pressure on Davis, trying to secure a commitment. The good news for Indiana, and the plethora of teams recruitment him, because Davis didn’t commit on the Hoyas’ visit, and still has yet to, the probably of this becoming a fall or winter commitment allows Indiana even more time to get a visit and try to steal him away from the Patrick Ewing show in D.C.
